The work of OOSP is designed to impact systems that affect Ohio citizens. OOSP supports its mission by seeking private and public funding through corporations, individuals, members, donations, grants and foundations.
To accomplish our mission we are:
- A membership organization which includes affiliate groups and cooperative relationships with other organizations.
- A local center for information, education and advocacy, including the latest research information and linguistically sensitive materials
- A policy development center that obtains input from expert scientists, opinion leaders, policy makers and practitioners
- A central point of input for developers and open source advocates and service providers who address information technology issues.
